We are a Japanese language salon in Sendai.
Volunteers support your Japanese learning.
In small groups, we talk about everyday topics and help you develop your Japanese speaking skills.
For those who are not yet confident in their Japanese.
People who want to interact with Japanese people and people from various other countries.

What kind of salon is it?
🍀 Small group, conversation-focused
Because it's a small salon, each person can talk a lot.
Volunteers will be there to help, so even those who are not fluent in Japanese can feel at ease.
🍀We learn in a fun way through various methods.
We engage in a variety of activities, including themed discussions, debates, essay writing, and games.
You'll naturally acquire vocabulary as well.
🍀 Japanese for everyday life
You can learn things that are useful in daily life, such as disaster preparedness and procedures at hospitals.
We also enjoy seasonal events, experiences related to Japanese culture, and field trips.
Tsumugi's name
The name Tsumugi embodies the meaning of "to spin" or "to weave."
Small conversations are the starting point for connections between people.
Just as we carefully weave together thin threads one by one, we cherish every encounter we have.

At Tsumugi, we do not require any qualifications or experience in Japanese language education.
Would you like to help people with international connections through Japanese language learning and cultural exchange?
These are the things we keep in mind.
- To create an atmosphere where each individual can speak a lot of Japanese.
- Listen attentively to what the learners have to say and expand the conversation.
You can participate in a trial session several times before joining.
